During the 2016-2017 school year, diplomats from the U.S. Embassy made 37 visits to schools across Lithuania and spoke to a total of 1,933 students about U.S. culture, history, and government. Schools also invited U.S. diplomats to serve as judges for English spelling bees, debate contests, essay contests, singing competitions, and other activities.
